{"id":3934,"date":"2024-06-16T20:02:23","date_gmt":"2024-06-16T23:02:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stemcelltherapyargentina.com\/why-does-prp-dosage-matter\/"},"modified":"2026-03-30T17:15:31","modified_gmt":"2026-03-30T20:15:31","slug":"why-does-prp-dosage-matter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stemcelltherapyargentina.com\/en\/why-does-prp-dosage-matter\/","title":{"rendered":"Why does PRP dosage matter?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Blog written by Dr. Matias Fernandez Vi\u00f1a, expert and first graduate in Regenerative Medicine in Argentina from the Universidad Abierta Interamericana.<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p>We usually know that Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a procedure that is performed with much enthusiasm by many professionals, it is offered indiscriminately, as a treatment for everyone when the reality is that it should not be so.<\/p>\n\n<p>The problem with PRP is, in my opinion, too serious and delicate, to such an extent that there are professionals who are not in the field of Regenerative Medicine, using it, without foundations and simply for the ease of one of the working techniques to obtain a &#8220;PRP Cosmetology&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n<p>The reality is that we know that in traditional medicine when performing a treatment, it is not enough just to know the drug that we are going to ingest, but we also need to know the dosage.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The same happens in Regenerative Medicine. It is not enough to know how to prepare it, even with legal restrictions, but it is also necessary to know the dosage. <\/p>\n\n<p>Nothing can be implemented correctly with a positive expected result if it is not quantified and dosed. This is one of the biggest mistakes we find in 99% of Regenerative Medicine clinics. Not knowing what is placed.  <\/p>\n\n<p>If you have had PRP, have you been told what dose to apply? Or did they simply draw 2 or 4 tubes of blood and simply centrifuge it, in front of you, without any biosafety measures (laminar flow cabinet or closed system) and apply it. <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The big question would be: why did they extract 2 or 4 tubes?  <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>What is the rationale&#8230; have you been told the dosage?
