Hip osteoarthritis is a degenerative, “wear-and-tear” condition that most commonly affects older adults, but it can also occur in younger people due to previous hip injuries. The cartilage gradually wears away, which decreases bone protection.
Osteoarthritis of the hip usually develops slowly and pain usually progresses in a similar way, although it can occur with spontaneous decompensation (primary osteoarthritis).
Occasionally, osteoarthritis is due to previous injuries to the hip, whether ligamentous, bone or cartilage, which accelerates the onset of symptoms (secondary osteoarthritis).
How can stem cell therapy-PRP help?
This regenerative medicine treatment is indicated for articular cartilage, muscle, tendon and ligament injuries, as it improves recovery times.
Also, when administered in tendon and muscle injuries, healing times are reduced.

What is the treatment protocol?
The stem cell protocol consists of extracting a small sample of the patient’s own adipose tissue in a high biosafety room under local anesthesia within 15 minutes.
Once this adipose tissue is obtained, it is processed with an ultrafiltration and fragmentation system to obtain a biological product called adipose tissue microfragmentation or nanofat.
This product contains 40% mesenchymal cells, in addition to other properties that exert anti-inflammatory effects on articular cartilage and its adjacent structures, such as tendons, ligaments and muscles.
The procedure takes approximately 45 minutes, with same-day outpatient discharge.
The PRP protocol consists of extracting a good sample of peripheral blood from a patient’s vein. Subsequently, this is processed in a high-tech system generating a HYPERCONCENTRATION of platelets, in a high biosafety environment, and then a dose of >10 billion platelets is re-injected into the patient.
All platelet-rich plasma treatments are always quantified in terms of platelet values, which makes our therapy practically 99% different from that of other regenerative centers.
The procedure takes approximately 45 minutes with same day outpatient discharge.
How are mesenchymal cells or PRP administered?

How long will it take to see results?
The results of regenerative treatments begin to be observed in each patient between 15 days and 2 months, although there are cases in which the reports begin to be objective between 6 and 12 months.
