Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP)
Activate your body’s natural recuperative capacity
What is hyperconcentrated PRP?
PRP is a treatment that uses your own blood to help repair damaged tissues. A small sample is extracted, processed to concentrate the platelets – rich in growth factors – and then applied to the affected area.
These platelets act as a natural boost to reduce inflammation and stimulate recovery. It is a fast, safe and minimally invasive procedure.
What problems is it used for?
It is mainly used in:
- Osteoarthritis and cartilage wear
- Ligament injuries
- Tendinitis and tendinopathies
- Muscle tears
- Sports injuries
It is intended to relieve pain and accelerate functional recovery.
How does it help?
We can compare it to a “cell fertilizer”: it boosts the body’s own ability to repair tissues. It stimulates collagen formation, improves circulation in the treated area and promotes faster and more effective recovery.
Is it safe?
Yes. Since the patient’s own blood is used, the risk of rejection is practically non-existent. A slight inflammation or discomfort may appear at the application site, which is usually temporary.
How is it obtained and applied?
A simple blood draw is performed, which is then processed to concentrate the platelets. Finally, it is applied by direct injection into the area to be treated.
It is an outpatient procedure that generally lasts less than an hour and allows the patient to resume normal activities following medical indications.
